Technical and on-page optimisation
SEO sorcery
Everything that makes a site legible to a crawler and unambiguous to a reader. This is where almost every project should start.
Most sites do not have a content problem. They have an interpretation problem. Pages compete for the same term, the crawl budget is spent on filter URLs, canonicals point at pages that redirect, and the pages that matter sit six clicks from the homepage.
SEO sorcery is the work of removing that ambiguity. It is deeply unglamorous, it produces no pretty screenshots, and it is reliably the phase that moves rankings first - because nothing you publish afterwards can outrun a broken foundation.
What is included
- Full crawl and indexation audit, including the gap between crawled and indexed URLs
- Keyword-to-URL mapping, with consolidation or redirection of competing pages
- Title, heading and meta structure across every template, not just the homepage
- Internal link architecture: click depth, anchor texts, orphaned pages
- Core Web Vitals, render-blocking resources and mobile rendering checks
- Structured data (schema.org) where it earns a result, not everywhere
- hreflang and canonical setup for multilingual and multi-domain projects
- Search Console monitoring with a monthly written interpretation
This is a good fit if
- Your traffic plateaued or dropped without an obvious cause
- You publish regularly but new pages take months to be indexed
- A relaunch or migration happened and rankings never fully recovered
- You run a large template-driven site: shop, directory, portal or classifieds
How it runs
- 01
Crawl and compare
We crawl the site, pull the indexed URLs from Search Console and compare the two sets. The difference is the first work list.
- 02
Map intent to URL
Every relevant term gets exactly one target page. Everything else is merged, redirected or repurposed so pages stop competing with each other.
- 03
Fix templates, not pages
Most issues live in templates. Fixing the template fixes every page it generates, which is why we start there rather than editing individual URLs.
- 04
Re-crawl and verify
Every change is verified against a fresh crawl and against Search Console. If a fix did not land, it is not marked as done.
Questions about this service
Do you implement the fixes or just report them?
Both are possible. We can hand a prioritised task list to your developers, or implement directly if we have access. Most projects end up mixed: we handle content and configuration, your team handles the build.
How long does a technical audit take?
A first pass on a mid-sized site usually takes ten to twenty hours. Large template-driven sites take longer, and we will say so before starting rather than after.
Will I need a redesign?
Usually not. Most technical SEO problems are configuration, structure and templating, not visual design. If a redesign genuinely is the cheaper route, we will say that instead of billing around it.

That is what the first assessment is for. Tell us the domain and we will tell you where the money actually sits.
