Why the wizard hat
Because the industry earned the joke. Search marketing is full of people who describe their work as if it were arcane by nature - dashboards nobody reads, reports that measure activity instead of outcomes, and a quiet assumption that the client will never ask what the retainer actually bought.
We picked the wizard as a running joke about exactly that, then built the company as its opposite. Every hour is logged. Every link is listed. Every claim in a report can be traced to a source you also have access to. If a piece of our work cannot survive you asking "why?", it should not be in the plan.
The rest is craft. Read the site properly, fix what is broken before adding anything new, write things worth linking to, and ask for the links rather than buying them. It is not a secret. It is just work that most people would rather sell than do.
